Slow fashion: sustainable knitwear
Fewer clothes, better made, from close by and for many years.
The textile industry is one of the most polluting in the world, and too often neither animal welfare nor the rights of the people who work in it are guaranteed. Slow fashion proposes the opposite: buy less, second-hand, good quality and local.
Real traceability. We know which goats the mohair comes from, where it is shorn, where it is spun (Castres) and who dyes it: we do, in small batches. A short, visible chain from the Navarrese Pyrenees to your needles.
Small dye lots, no surplus. We choose the colours each year and dye in short runs. When a colour is gone, it's gone: we don't make things to fill warehouses. And the stock shown on the site is the real stock, ball by ball.
A fibre that lasts. Mohair is hard-wearing, holds no odours and regulates moisture, so it rarely needs washing: less water, less energy and garments that last many winters.
Making your own clothes is the slowest way to get dressed. With our yarn and kits you can knit or crochet your own pieces, and mend them when they need it.
